It is certainly a challenge to predict which time is best to book a Ski Trip. Here are some tips to consider...
July and August are peak times and traditionally when snowfall is at highest, though with it comes peak pricing.
June is the beginning of the season where sometimes the snow arrives on schedule but other times it comes in dribs and drabs. Though with the advent of snowmaking snow is more reliable.
Early September is becoming a popular time to bring school groups to the snow where there is usually an established snow base and the days are slightly warmer than the cold winter months.
First time or advanced?
What is the ability level of your students? Is it the first-time for most of your group or have they been before and would benefit from more terrain?
First-timers are likely to enjoy a little less cold and a little more sunshine while they spend their first day getting up and down from the ground as they learn to ski or snowboard. They may also be enticed by the lower cost involved in booking a Ski Trip in off-peak pricing.
Those who have skied before or are intermediate to advanced and want to ski beyond the beginner runs may prefer to come in July or August where there is usually more natural snowfall therefore opening up more terrain for them to explore.
